We have a W2003 server and need to allow someone to have remote access to it through a VPN. What all needs to be done on the server to allow this?
Any suggestions on where to get this information or steps to take would be greatly apprecited.
Thanks,
HTG

This is done through several ways depending on your setup. Is the server a Domain Controller? If so then you must enable dial in on the account you want to have access through Active Directory Users and Computers. If it isn't a DC then you can just make a local account, give it VPN access and you are away. Of course Routing and Remote Access needs to be installed. On the Configure your server page that loads at startup select Add/Remove Roles and add remote access server. That is pretty much all that has to be done on the server.
