W2000 Server/Pro Altering Printer Resolution

I want to alter ourMinolta QMS printer resolution from 1200 dpi to 600 dpi. I've changed it on the server but users still have a 1200 dpi default. How do I ensure that everyone I want to print at 600 dpi does?

A step by step explanation would be appreciated.
