W2000 Prof not validate in domain

hi, I have a small LAN with a Windows 2000 domain(one W2000 server updgrading from
a NT server like controller domain, and also a controller domain under NT server).
My problem is that when i install a new Windows 2000 professional in a PC, i can not validate in
domain, it tell me taht can not find domain (something about network path), but if i updgrade a NT
workstation to W2000 professional i have not any problem. Why this??
