W@K server and Exchange Restore

Our W2k server had to be reloaded along with Exchange.....Luckily everyone's mailbox was OK because PSTs were stored on local units .....the question I have is about the public folders...we had a company calendar and several Tasks folders setup ......We have a backup on tape thru backup Exec and one user copied them to her local drive thru Outlook.........can we just copy them back from the local drive? I understand the restore thru Backup Exec is difficult being that it is stored in Information Store folder ...

Please advise
