Is there a way, like using a normal date range set Between [date] And [date], to create a way to ask for less than this [date]? I'm pretty well versed in Access and I've never tried this before. Wondering if I could get some pointers on how to go about this.

Thanks in advance!!

I don't understand your question. Between [date] And [date] is only going to prompt you for one value so it is pointless to use "Between".

IMHO criteria for queries, forms, reports,... should never come from parameter prompts. Always use controls on forms.

What I'm saying I would like a prompt that asks for a date and then the data displayed is less than the date entered.

Set your criteria in your query to something like:

<=Forms!frmDateCriteria!txtEndDate

Again, IMHO prompts aren't acceptable user interface.
