Hi

I have a preconfigured server using devices mounted on "/dev/vx" filesystem.

I have been informed that this has been set up incorrectly as the block size is only set to 1k (which is apparently the default) instead of 8k.

We have another server using ufs fielesystem. When we copy from one to the other can anyone forsee any problems.

What impact will it have changing from 1k to 8k?? and how would you do this. I dont even know how to invvoke the gui.

the results from "pkginfo | grep VERITAS" are as follows :-

utilities VRTSdbed VERITAS Database Edition for Oracle
system VRTSfsdoc VERITAS File System Documentation
application VRTSfspro VERITAS File System Management Services Provider
system VRTSlic VERITAS Licensing Utilities
application VRTSob VERITAS Enterprise Administrator Service
application VRTSobgui VERITAS Enterprise Administrator
