Using an Exabyte autoloader connected to a PCI-X Adaptec 29160 controller. I am upgrading to a brand new server with only PCIe, so will need a new one. Seems that the choices are very limited for PCIe SCSI. I've found two: LSI LSI20320IE and Adaptec 29320LPE, no 160 cards that I could find.

Two questions: 1) Anyone try one or both of these cards with an Exabyte? 2) Given that the Exabyte uses a HD68 connector and these cards use a VHDCI68 connector, would there be any performance difference between getting a VHDCI to HD cable or using my existing HD68 cable and getting a small VHDCI to HD adapter for connecting to the new card?

Thanks
