vt100 emulation

I know I can "tn -e vt100 xxxx" to emulate a vt100 terminal.

How do I change to a vt100 emulation within a session?

# export TERM=vt100

This will set you TERM variable to vt100, and on most systems, this is a defined emulation in the terminfo database. The system will complain if it does not know what vt100 is.
