VSS writer (Dhcp Jet Writer) failure

My (Arcserve) backup had a failure with the error below. I was told that this was a Microsoft issue and not Arcserver?

This VSS writer ( Dhcp Jet Writer ) has reported a failure on a thaw event.

Is this a serious error? What do I need to do to resolve this? Or prevent it from happening in the future?

Any help/information would be appreciated.

If you look in the system/applicatio log you will see some error as well. THe error is microsoft related. ArcSeve just calls on VSS to perform the operations.
I would make sure you have the latest Service Pack for Windows since it includes fixes for VSS problem.
