Where is basic info on setting up and using VSS? In particular I want to know how to copy the project to a laptop, make changes and update the project. Thanks. [sig]
John Durbin
john@johndurbin.com
<a href=
ICQ #9466492
I think what you'd do, Jon, is connect the laptop to the network, check out the desired files (which copies them locally to your working directory), then you can unplug. Make changes off-line. Re-connect to the network and check in the changed files. [sig]
Robert Bradley

<a href= - Visual FoxPro Development
[/sig]

Ya simple enough but that was not how the question was phrased in a test I can't refer to if you know what i mean. It said nothing about checking out files. Just some things about mark read or not etc. I thought the question was bizarre myself [sig]
John Durbin
john@johndurbin.com
<a href=
ICQ #9466492
How'd you guess? Did you take it? I missed the debug section bad too. 2 questions away from certification. I may retake it Friday. Just the stupid VSS questions would have passed me [sig]
John Durbin
john@johndurbin.com
<a href=
ICQ #9466492
Yeah, I took it - in beta form, with twice the number of questions. A real bear, even though I've been doing VFP full-time since it came out in '95. And I'm a good test-taker. Its no secret that there is a lot of non-VFP related material on the test, including integration with VSS and Word COM topics.

Still not as bad as 029, though. [sig]
Robert Bradley

<a href= - Visual FoxPro Development
[/sig]
