Hi all, and thanks in advance.

Please, does anyone know how exactly VSP and the background service Snapshot Manager work with W2003?

I explain:
NBU 4.5 FP5, Master Solaris, Media Solaris, clients Solaris & W2003. Two SUN L60 libraries.

Client W2003 on a SAN, three drives, C and D local mirror, E on the SAN, 150 GB. I´ve just installed and configured it as a Domino Server, migrated from NT during the weekend.

After all is done, I stop Domino and launch a special backup (ALL_LOCAL_DRIVES and SYTEM_STATE in the Files Tab), and while it is running, I can see from my Windows Explorer a new drive (F:\ ¿¡?!), which is not accesible at all (some folders are "corrupted or not accesible"...

¿SnapShot?

From the Disk Administrator obviously I can´t see it.

Am I correct? Is this the way it works? Does the OS shows the virtual drive all along the backup?

The E: drive has 150 Gb, (all the Domino files and databases), and I´m going to be forced to backup it everyday without the Domino Agent (not compatible with Domino R6), and not going to be able to stop Domino during backups, is VSP enough while we go to NBU 5.0? Any clue?

Thanks again.
