vshadow and dirty shutdown hurdle

I am trying to use vshadow to snapshot Exchange database volumes on a Lefthand iSCSI SAN. The Lefthand soltions pack and the vss sdk have been applied.

The vss snaphots are made, it looks like Excange agrees but when I go to test the databases, eseutil /mh reports they are in 'dirty shutdown' state.

command used:
vshadow -p f: g:

Anyone have a tip?

It'll always be dirty. You're not coordinating with the exchange writer to issue a freeze before you snap it.
