VSFTPD upgrade for RH8

Has anyone had any luck upgrading VSFTPD 1.1.0 for RH8 ?
I have downloaded Vsftpd 1.1.3-8 which is certified for RH9 but RH doesn't plan on certifying it for RH8.

This is a production machine so I need to know if it will work as an upgrade?

Try installing it on a test machine using "rpm -Uvh packagename". If you don't get any errors during the install, most likely it will be okay. If you do get errors, they will be dependancy errors that need to be fulfilled.

You can always install from source, if the RPM doesn't work.
