I've configured vsftp as a ftp server and all works fine.
One thing I need to sort out is the vsftp log files, by default they rotate monthly so you only ever have 1 months worth of logs, I need to keep monthly logs for 1 year - I'm pretty new to Linux so I'm looking for some help, the following didn't seem to work too well
missingok
monthly
rotate 12
notifempty
create 600 root root
I want monthly log files, rotated 12 times ( for 1 years worth) - is the above correct?
Ideally I would like to use the 'copy' option to copy to another directory, to I just add something like 'copy /var/log/vsftpd.log' ?
Thanks
