VSFTP has been running great until now. This morning I came in and none of the users can copy anything INTO their directories. They can copy FROM but when they try to copy files in, they get a permission denied 550 error. Even if I set the user to FULL permissions. I haven't updated anything or made any changes. Can anyone shed some light on what could be going on or what I should look for?

Thanks

The only thing that I notice in the system logs are a few PAM errors:
Jan 31 11:35:22 localhost gdm(pam_unix)[2854]: authentication failure
Jan 31 11:35:26 localhost gdm-binary[2854]: Couldn't authenticate user

there's nothing in the vsftp logs.

This is a new line that I just saw in the vsftpd.log, I replaced the IP address with X's

Mon Jan 31 15:48:25 2005 1 XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX 37089 /httpd.conf b _ o r username ftp 0 * c

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
