Hi all,

I have some applications in VS2002 with .NET Framework 1.1x and I want to change to VS2005 but I have a few questions:

1-Can I run my old apps in VS2005?
2-What are the main advantages of migrating into it?

Tanks in advance
Jorge

Visual Studio 2002 uses the .NET framework 1.0, not 1.1.

1. You might need after upgrading to 2005 version, to fix some lines of code. But it is definately easier than upgrading a vb6 app to the .NET platform.

2. Many. Much work is done for you.. In ASP.NET for example there is made a great efford in security issues and not a single line of code needed (e.g. membership).

You can have a search on the internet to find some docs that point out the differences and/or advantages.
