Have a VS R5.0.21 mail with an ACS R3.03 Processor. When a VM message is forwarded to a mailbox - and the rceiving mailbox tries to listen to the forwarded VM by pressing "0" - nothing happens. But in that same mailbox - if you go to their greeting and press "0" to listen to their greeting - which is the same function of the keypad and TT receivers - the greeting plays?

Is the problem in the processor or the VS R5? Anyone hear of any backward conflicts that have occured by applying the VS R5.0.21 firmware patch that fixes the compatability problems with the ACS R7.0 processor- with older release processors - R2 thru R5?

Forget that. What happens when you press zero to play a non-forwarded message?

That what you did?

Hal,

Only happens when trying to listen to a forwarded VM.

We upgrade all VS R5 mails with the R5.0.21 patch which Avaya states is the only solution with the ACS R7.0 conflicts.

Dunno. You are not using them with an R7 so why did you do it? If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Do all your "upgraded" R5's have this problem? That would tell you.

I understand, but we don't always know whom or what release processor a VS5 mod that we might sell or repair is going to be used.

Avaya stated that they have no known conflicts with older release processors and this new patch ... maybe huh?
