I didn't believe it until it happen to me.
I have the good and bad habit of quick saving every single change done to my code (CTRL + S) and I didn't notice that while I was working on a page (with another page open in the back) VS.NET got the idea it would be nice to eliminate the design (html) of that back page. So I quick saved and ran the application. Of course I received the error and I checked the code behind, everything was fine, so I switch to the design view of the page and swoooooooooooshhhhh all gone... blank... nada... zip...
I closed VS.NET without saving and reopened it praying my little guru saints... nothing, zilch, null...

stil it didn't hit me but it will soon.. I feel the frustration building already...

any ideas of what is happening?

After many tests and workloads, the fix seems to work just fine. I didn't have the same behavior since I applied it.
John, when you have a time you might want to think about making a FAQ out of it since it could help many people out there.
