Hi everyone,

I have a simple question. I'm creating reports in VS.net and publishing them to an ASP.net page but I can't seem to resize my reports. The viewer (CrystalReportViewer control) defaults back to Width="1049px" Height="1087px" even when I change the width and height properties to something else.

It's also being centered on the screen which is affecting the printing. I want it to be left aligned. Has anyone gone through this before??

Don't know if it'll be any use, but I wanted my CR control to be a specific size and it was always defaulting to another size. I set the BestFitPage property to False and it seemed it to do the job...

good luck!

Hi,

Thanks for your answer. I tried changing the BestFitPage property to false but it didn't work for some reason. I have another question though.

If I want to deploy Crystal Reports on the web, do I need anything like a Crystal Reports Server? Another guy on another forum was telling me that I needed one. Do you have any insight into this?

Keith

Deploying Crystal Reports on the WEB is a pretty generic question.

There is a companion product called Crystal Enterprise which is used for viewing, scheduling, and distributing reports through a WEB intereface, or you can roll your own, depending upon the version of Crystal, something that should be included with any post.

Hi,

Sorry for being so imprecise. I'm using Crystal Reports for VS.net 2003. When I run the deploy reports on the web, I'm using the CrystalReportViewer control. Is this sufficient for rolling out Crystal Reports on the web or do I need additional software? Are there licensing issues?

The VS.net IDE keeps prompting me to register with Seagate (or whatever company owns them now). I thought that the development tools for Crystal Reports for VS.net was royalty free. Which leads me to the question of: Do I require additional software or licenses for them?
