VS.NET 2003 & CR 10/11

The version of CR that ships with VS.NET 2003 displays reports that were written in 7.x and 8.x of CR, but the same code doesn't work for CR 10 & 11. Should it? If not, what do I need to get so I can design a report viewer that will work with the newer versions as well?
