I think this is the correct forum. If not, please let me know, and I'll repost appropriately.
We are currently using VB.Net 2010. The discussion came up about upgrading to either VS 2012 or VS 2013. We have talked about integrating Windows phone capabilities for the sales guys (Contact Management, Quotes, etc.) as well as adding tablets for various tasks in the shop. However, we are a at least a year if not two from being ready to incorporate these abilities. The current system is a pretty generic Accounting, Inventory, Payroll, Scheduling, etc, type system. Nothing really fancy about it. The only "web" we have is from SSRS Reports. We have a rather "aged" user base, so KISS is something that is a must and not an option. Many users do not even have a computer at home or this is the first place they ever had to use one.
With that in mind, I thought I'd throw out there a general question for those of you that are familiar with the differences: What, in your opinion, would be the better route to go, 2012 or 2013? I personally, am leaning towards 2012 since they just released Update 3. A virgin version of VS makes me a little nervous.
Thanks for your feedback,
Joe
