I have a couple of ASP.NET 2.0 applications that I'm told might benifit from a move to VS 2008 AND asp.net 3.5. I have been using VS 2005 and ASP.net 2.0 for a while, but I'm woundering if it is easy to move the applications or if it will be as big of an issue as it was moving from VS 2003 to VS 2005?

Thanks for any thoughts,

05 to 08 is a smooth upgrade, unlike 03 to 05. .net 1.1 to .net 2.0 was a breaking change. 2. to 3.5 is backwards compatible.

if you use webforms the ListView in conjuction with PagableData is a great combination. Just about every OSS project requires 3.0/3.5 as well. So if you use them you will need to upgrade (or back port the source.) for the lastest releases.
