I need to do a vrepair on the SYS volume with long file name support. When I run Vrepair it says that v_os2.nlm cannot be found. When I try to load v_os2.nlm I get the message that the file tried to reference a public variable could and not be found and the file fails to load. How to I do a vrepair on this volume.

Thanks,

Hi.

First of all you should try to locate a file named os2.nam on your server, if its corrupted try downloading from internet the following file: nam312.exe Its a compressed file that has many netware 3.12 system utilitys. Copy the os2.nam file in the directory where you have the SERVER file( Its probably a directory called C:\nw312 or C:\netware312) You should load this file before mounting the SYS Volumen. Next step should be to use the system console command ADD NAME SPACE OS2 TO (Volumen Name). This should make your Volumen recognize long name files. Once you do this try loading Vrepair and run it on the desired volumen. Check out the Vrepair Options too ok. I hope this works... One more thing , try to avoid storing user files in the SYS volumen. Ist better if you create new Volumens for this purpose.
