Hi all,

We have a customer that wants to have IPO in cloud. (so I am talking about a PoweredBy solution).
Of course we will need a VPN connection between the customers office and the cloud datacenter. Problem here is that the cost of an VPN MPLS is to high, so now I am looing for an alternative. VPN over Internet comes to my mind. So here is my question, do you know if Linux (IPOPowered by) can be configured as the end of a VPNoI tunnel?

Thank you,
Vlad C.

Yes it can.

Our hosted customers are a mixture of MPLS connections and VPN connections.

And did Avaya help you with VPN or you had to figure out how to program CentOS?
From what I see PoweredBy IPO changes root password when you do the initial setup, and I guess only Avaya has it..

VPN is between internet connections, no changes/differences on the CentOS have been required.

Avaya Help says : The use of tunnels is not supported by Linux based systems... And the Tunnel option in Manager is missing
So how do you configure IPO Powered by to be end of tunnel? do you have some documentation that you recommend?

You would create a VPN link to the network the IPO is located on, not directly to the IPO.
I assume there is some kind of firewall solution in place to which you can create a VPN.

Correct, all of our Powered by are configured in the cloud with PFSense firewalls connecting them to either the internet or the MPLS network. The VPN is configured between the PFSense and the customer firewall.
