Hi there

I have got a pda which I connect to the internet via my bluetooth mobile GPRS connection, however I need to access our LAN using VPN, our company has got VPN access but I dont know how to set this up, can anyone help,
I have tried to add the vpn adress in my connection settings but when I try and connect it just tries the IP Address and doesnt establish an internet connection first.
I have heard that you need to set the VPN up on the internet connection not work, however the tab is only on te work properties

Any ideas please?

Thanks

Tim

I have no idea how this works on a PDA, but just from a VPN standpoint I can tell you this:

You'll need two addresses:

1) The address of the VPN peer at your work (the concentrator, firewall, router or device that establishes the tunnel).

2) The address of the host or subnet that you will actually be accessing through the tunnel. It it very important that the IKE on your side of the tunnel talks to the other side with the same IP's/subnet.

You will also need to have something on the PDA that is able to construct a tunnel. Again, that may already be there, I am pretty ignorant about VPNs on a PDA.
