VPN working through WIndows VPN Client but not Cisco VPN Client

Ok..here is what is going on...

When I set up a Windows VPN on my client I can connect to the PIX but have no access to the private network...when I use the cisco vpn I cannot get a connection to anything...any help or insight as to what I am missing in my config or client set-up would be greatly appreciated..thank you...

HI.

I suggest that you backup your entire config, then erase it and use PDM - it should generate (with your help) a working config with VPN settings, and will help you avoid some errors.

You have some basic confusions, and I think that PDM will give you a better start.
You can also use pixcript and or Cisco sample configs.

Some tips:

* VPDN is used for supporting PPTP (Microsoft) clients.
For Cisco VPN client you need VPNGROUP commands and IPSec (crypto ..., isakmp ...) configuration.

* Use "access-list" instead of "conduit".
The access-list command replaces the old conduit.

* You need "nat 0 access-list" for incoming VPN connections.
PDM or PIXCRIPT or Cisco samples will help you with that.

* The vpn pool must NOT overlap with existing internal subnets.
