I am trying to set up a VPN on my network. I have a domain setup, along with a cable modem and linksys router (which says that VPN's are possible with it). When using Windows 2000 Server I am not able to set up remote access for a VPN. It asks me to specify which internet connection the server uses, but only shows <No internet connection> and Local Area Connection (which is the connection that goes to the router, my LAN connection as well as my Cable connection). When I try to select that connection, it tells me that I have selected the last available connection as the internet connection, and that a VPN Server requires one connection be used as a private network connection. How can I get around this?? Any advise is greatly appriciated. Thank You

I just threw in another NIC card, wired it to my hub and follow the instructions given at this thread:

thread96-100593 XP client works fine. I am still having trouble with my W98.

Good Luck,
Joe
