VPN Windows XP Professional PC to PC

Hi guys,

Iam trying to create a VPN connection between to windows-xp machines. I configure one as the server, but when i try to connect with the other machine nothing happens. Because iam behind a router with NAT I tryed port forwarding 1723 but nothing works?

any surgestions? no of any links/tutorials/books that might help me..

Why not just use something like hamachi? No port forwarding needed.

yeah Hamachi works, but i need to know about windows VPN for a work project?

My suggestion would be to forget about windows based VPNs and use an appliance. I don't have experience with the windows vpn so I cant be of further help.
