Hey guys,
I need your help, I am new on the VPN. I need to setup a VPN connection from the office to my home. Should I have a Static or Dynamic Ip address? I have a cisco PIX 506 router at the office. Does anyone know how to configure the VPN on this type of router. I have tried everything I know, but I still can't get it to work. I need your advise and expertise on this issue. I would really appreciate it..
Thanks

It all depends on how you intend to configure the VPN.

For a site to site VPN between your firewall and some other hardware device (router or firewall) then use a static IP address.

If you are connecting to the firewall via the Cisco VPN client then it doesn't matter. Dynamic will do just fine.

Chris.
