laundrycard

Hello!

We are looking for a VPN solution for our company.

First I might explain what we do. We build a laundry system were customers obtain a laundry card that is used to vend washes and drys.

Our system offers the ability to add balance to your cards through credit cards.

We also offer remote access for store owners so they can run reports and monitor problems.

That same remote access is used by us to provide technical support.

Right now most "highspeed" locations use a Cisco Pix 501 firewall/vpn with radius auth.

Problem the Cisco Pix 501 has been discontinued....

We now are looking into other *LOW COST* solutions because the customers have to buy the hardware from us.

We need a device or option were we can still use the radius auth with a vpn.

Most locations have static ip's so the firewalls were configured to be assigned those IP's but it would be nice to have one that offers Dyndns or something similar.

One major issue we have is getting internet companies to set there devices up correctly. I.E. (Bridge mode, passthrough) This seams to cause us a ton of problems.

Maybe there is a way to have our "new" solution to have UPNP to configure there modems to route correctly?

Lastly so you can understand we have over 300 stores now, so this solution would have to be able to work with existing owners as well as new owners.

I hope i was able to explain our issue.

check out the ASA 5505 the pix 501 replacement, runs about $400'ish

Does anyone know anything about the Allied Telesis, Inc AT-AR415S.

Perhaps have a look at the DrayTek 3300 which will do 256 bit AES/SHA1 with RADIUS 1812 Authentication...?

Has a throughput of 55MB/sec so no goo0d for serious ethernet/fiber

Does DynDNS just fine and has a good dynamic IPSec client support for client or server.

UPnP too.

If they are mostly DSL have a look at the DrayTek 2820 or 2930 as they are good too but not sure about RADIUS VPN Auth.

Good luck.
