Hi there

I have established a VPN from one office to another.
The main office has a SBS Server on a domain.
The second office has a small workgroup - no server.
I have connected via the vpn to the main office and mapped a network drive on the PC that is running the VPN. That is working fine.

What I now need to do is share that network drive to the other PC's in the workgroup so they can access data on the main office server.

I cannot see the mapped drive (to the main office server) on the other workgroup PC's in network places.

Is there a way to connect the other workgroup users to the mapped drive on the Pc connected via the vpn.

Cheers for the reply -
sorry it has taken a few days but we have been without a internet connection for 4 days.

The drive on the server has been shared, but you cannot share the mapped drive on the workgroup side - does not give you the option.

Share the drive on the pc with the vpn connection. After you make the vpn connection, the shared drive should show up on your other pc's after you map to the shared drive.

Better yet, can you not let each user vpn into the server that has the data they need????

Many thanks

I am unable to share mapped drive - do not have the sharing option ??

I am currently letting all users vpn into the remote server but there are 7 and at least two are having problems keeping connection - I am upgrading broadband connection but am not sure whether this will solve.

I am thinking of going for a site to site vpn and buying a cheap server for second site, creating domain and vpn from server to server and then sharing mapped drive - what do you think, and is there anything in particular I need to be aware of.

Any assistance gratefully received
Jack
