VPN Setup 1

Hi all,

Setting up a vpn connection at work using a Netgear FVS318v3 and the Netgear client software.

Plan is to allow certain users to access their accounts and email from their home.

The servers are running Server 2000 with Exchange 2000. Outlook 2000 is the email client.

Is there anything I should look out for when setting it up and is there a way to test the VPN setup on the router before installing it on the client.

Assuming you can establish the VPN, the only issue is name resolution. Make sure the VPN server assign correct DNS or WINS.
