I am trying to setup a VPN at my office /we are running 5 computers /xp/.One print server/router /.Please,some body show me how to configure my network for VPN.
There's a setup wizard to do this. Start from the Control Panel, double-click "Network Connection" icon then on the left pane click "Create New Connection".
If you want to configure your XP as a VPN server to enable incoming connections, follow the following:
To make an incoming network connection, Open Network Connections. Under Network Tasks, click Create a new connection, and then click Next.
Click Set up an advanced connection, and then click Next.
Click Accept incoming connections, click Next, and then follow the instructions in the New Connection Wizard.
Notes:
To open Network Connections, click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click Network Connections.
You must be logged on as a computer administrator to complete this procedure.
Thanks for your imput,I still could not setup my vpn connection/is there any specific ip address that i have to use /i need detial info ?Please help me !
are you saying you want to set up your xp to be the vpn server ppl can connect from offsite? what os are the clients? you have to configure both the server and clients. please provide more detail info of your current network setup in your office.
