Hello;

I am looking for some equipment suggestions to setup a VPN and 4 low use, single handset (4600 series) extensions.

We currently do not have a VPN in place so we are starting from scratch. Ideally at the remote office we would like to use a "wireless" router as these are home offices.

Thanks.

Are the 4 remote 4600's at one location, or at 4?

Peter

They will be 4 seperate locations.
At the each location there will be one 4600 series hand set but could be two users with software phones.

Will these remote users be having sensitive conversations, or are you willing to risk the very unlikely possibility of someone listening to their phone calls? You might consider a non-vpn solution, as it would work much better for you if the conversations are not security-critical.

VPN solutions generally work best when it is multiple handsets at the same location. Otherwise you add a whole lot of overhead quite quickly.

Peter

They wont be sensitive conversations, just general business discussions.
So there could be 2-3 conversations at a locations simultaneously.
We don't mind adding the VPN as we want to provide secure network access as well.

I use vpn's at the moment but i use VOIP under the user telophony tab and i have a VCM 5 or 10 and it works great my laptop rings like a phone and i have a 3mb internet connection at home it works 100% If i'm not downloading then it sounds like a mobile.
