I have several Linksys BEFVP41 routers set up in various locations and connecting the VPN tunnels and accessing servers is usually a no-brainer. Except for one server. This server was working several months ago, but one day, it decided that it wouldn't allow connections over VPN. Connecting in the office on the same subnet is working fine, but as soon as I switch to a vpn conbnection to the server it won't work.
I just managed to get through to the server over VPN today by changing my workstation IP from 192.168.2.24, which was the ip of the workstation that originally had the problem, to 192.168.2.200, which has never been used on the network.
I'm thinking that there is some sort of MAC binding going on here that I'm missing that is preventing access from any IP that has been used to connect through the VPN.
The other thing is that I couldn't print to our networked printer as .2.24 (standard IP port in Win XP), but I could as soon as I changed to .2.200.
I'm confused, how about you?
Bruce
