VPN Router 1100 Bootrom.sys not found

Hi,

A particular contivity fails to find the bootrom.sys file on bootup while clearly the file is the compact flash. Upgrading did not correct the problem neither did restoring from the recovery console

Any ideas on how to rebuild the bootrom.sys file or rebuild a boot compact flash?

From recovery mode, you could select 'reformat hard drive', then restore from a backup. If restoring from the backup still gets you the same message, then you could try to reload the software from the recovery console as well. You wouldn't have your config if you reloaded the software only, but at least it would tell you if the issue is with your backup or not.
