Hi have a Win98 Stn that is logging into a NT server using VPN, it has worked in the past but just recently stoped working. I have since wiped out the OS and reloaded the entire system.

We use a piece of software that communicates using IP, when the user logs on using VPN it successfully logs on but when I try and run the app nothing it cannot find the server. Has anyone seen this before???

Check the filter settings on the server side If someone changed the filter setting for the VPN it can block TCP/IP traffic.
If you created a network on the side that the Win 98 system is on make sure the host and your site are not on the same network. i.e 10.0.0.0 network vpn to a 10.0.0.0 network.

Also do you have a second internet connection on your system if you do check the settings for the default gateway
use the route print to view your routing table.
