I know this seems a bit far fetched...but here is my problem.
Our area cable service provider (Houston) recently changed from Time Warner to Caomcast.
With Time Warner, I had no issues.
With Comcast...I cannot VPN to my office netowrk when I am wireless at home.
I originally had a cable modem (original issue) and a router with an access point attached.
When connected to the LAN via copper, I can VPN just fine. When connected via wireless, I authenticate, but once authenticated, I pass no traffic.
I called the service provider, they say it is my router.
I linked to my neighbor's wireless, (similar configuration) and still could not pass traffic once authenticated.
I can drive up the street and connect wirelessly at a local hotel (not Comcast service) and everything works just fine.
I even went so far as to purchase a new Buffalo wireless router. I tried every configuration I know, and it still does not work.
I called Comcast again, and they basically say there is noting they can, or will do, and basically I am screwed.I asked to speak to an engineer who can actually understand the differnce between presenting a wired or wireless intface, and they said there were "none avaialbe". I asked to speak to a manager, they said "managers do not speak to people". That was his exact words.
Has anyone experienced a similar issue with a service provider when trying to access VPN wirelessly?
