VPN Problem Driving Me Up a Walll@#$%$!

Hello,

I'm trying to reach my internal,wins domain lan thru a pix515. I can authenticate to the pix, ssh in, ping the dns/wins boxes ok. After I connect to the pix, I don't get the windowz xp domain login screen for either the Cisco vpnclient or the windows vpn client. I looks like it's being blocked by the pix. I have protocol fixup for pptp 1723 and the necessary crypto, vdpn stuff coded.

Has anyone run into this? I'm on my 2nd Cisco TAC case nr.
They haven't been any help.

After you authenticated, Can you ping the pdc and/or can you ping from pdc? and map to network resource?
Another possibility may be windows xp problem, you may already login using cache credential, that is why you don't see the log-on prompt.
You may try to force to log in to vpn 1st before you log on the windows just for troubleshooting purposes.

Thanks for the tip. I have pretty much solved my problems. I can telnet to "inside" hosts and get to our internal intranet. One, question, do I have to map to the internal drives?

I assume by "Internal drives" you meant network drives that resides "INSIDE" your network.
If your user(s) have a need for it. Try to map to the share drives, whether or not you can access it depending on your configuration.

Yes, you are correct. Once I got my routing straightened out, I was able to map to the drives. It now works on windoz xp pro, xp home, 98 and linux.
