I'm trying to set up a VPN from my home PC so I can access my PC at work. I'm having a little trouble and I'm wondering if it has to do with the ip address. Do I need a static ip address on my home network (which is dsl) to be able to establish the vpn with my router at work???

In doing some online searches I'm getting conflicting info on that subject. Thanks for any help!

This will all depend on the VPN setup at your work. For most PPTP setups I have seen, you do not need a static IP. However, it is very easy to set this restriction in most PPTP servers. You should check with who ever set up the VPN server in the first place.

What sort of hardware is running the VPN?
