I have already setup a remote desktop connection to this server and all work with no probs via home machine. But now i have been told it need to be a VPN connection and not remote desktop as the software to be use does not support win2003.

I am 100% sure i have router setup correctly, Netgear DG834GT, as i have tested with pptp_ping and all works ok so TCP/IP ports and GRE protocol are getting to server and back.

log = Tue, 2008-01-29 15:33:02 - TCP Packet - Source:82.138.198.72,1272 Destination:80.168.254.87,1723 - [VPN 3 rule match]

My problem is with the 2003 server. I setup using Advanced Connection Wizard, Accept Incoming Connection, Allow VPN Connection and then set the users up to allow VPN connection.

If i try to connect on local network i get "Cannot retrieve protocol information Error 6: The Handle invalid" and if i try to connect via internet i get Error 721 the remote computer did not respond.

Can anyone please.

Many Thanks

Mmmmmm - Advanced Connection Wizard??? I am not sure about this, I would normally configure Routing and Remote Access on the server?
