VPN Phone Setup

Avaya IP Office version 4.1(12) with a 5610SW IP phone.

We purchased a license of the VPN Remote for one of our remote users. I copied all the files to the server so they reside with the 46xxsetting.txt and the 46xxupgrade.scr files. I've setup the phone to be in the 876 group.

When I boot the phone it loads the 46xxsetting.txt which has never been modified so there are no cutom settings. It then loads the 46xxupgrade.scr. In that file it recognizes the phone is in the 876 group and loads the 46xxvpn.scr. After it loads the 46xxvpn.scr it loads the 46xxsetting.txt again.

From what I can deduce after reading the code in the 46xxvpn.scr, it appears that it is calling a GOTO END when loading the BOOTAPP4610 instead of trying to upgrade the phone with the b10d01b2_3.bin file and then loading the DEF46XX which would then launch the 46vpnupgrade.scr and load the a10bVPN232_4.bin. The last step after loading the 46vpnupgrade.scr would be to load the 46vpnsetting.txt which has the Cisco specific settings we added for the PSK_ONLY.

Since it seems to be skipping the necessary steps, does anyone have any suggestions as to why this is happening? All the files are default with the exception of the 46vpnsetting.txt which, as you know, gets modified when you load the VPNremoteFor46xxSetup.exe.

Thanks,

-Mike
