Greetings Gents,

I had a remote 9608 phone that connected via vpn and was working great. It stopped working and I got it to reprogram it and send it back.
When I go to VPN in programming, it is disabled. There is no enable button showing; just exit. I cannot enable the vpn. I set the phone's group to 876 in hopes of having the enable button to show. No go. Has anyone run into this?

Thanks.

Quaz

If the phone is using the default craft password then you for some settings, such as VPN, you can only see the setting, not change it.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

Derfloh,

No I did not. I have been manually programming the phones.

Sizbut,
I don't know what you mean. I can use the craft password and enable or disable the VPN function on any of my working ip phones. What password should I use?

Derfloh,

Ok, I set those parameters in 46XXXsettings. I want to use manager as the TFTP server. Do I set the TFTP server to 0.0.0.0, Phone Server Type to manager and manager pc set. Do I need to have manager open on the pc? Do need to do anything more then set the group on the phone 876 and reboot

Thank you,
Quaz

9600 phones use http and not TFTP.

I would use the SD card as fine server. Set it to internal storage.

If you set the parameter within the settings for group 876 you have to switch the group within the phone. If it is set as global parameter the menu should be available as street the next reboot of the phone when it loaded the settings file.

IP Office remote service
IP Office certificate check
CLI based call blocking
SCN fallback over PSTN

Where do I put the 46XXXsettings file? On the SD card?

Derfloh,

Am I setting in system parameters filewriter IP address as the manager's pc. Leave the 46XXXsttings file where it always is in manager and it should work. Am I interpreting your solution correctly?

Thanks,
Quaz
