you cannot get a VPN BETWEEN these devices, they do not support it. You can get one THROUGH them, as in from a host inside of the 2610's network to one inside the 826's network. just open the ports on the 2610 to allow the connection and make sure that the ISP's support it. (many PPPoE DSL places do not support it for some reason, and the 826 is a DSL modem/gateway. it would be fairly easy once you open both IP ports 1723 and enable IP protocol 47 on the 2610. or for IPSec tunnels, you need IP protocol 50 (ESP) or 51 (AH) but no port forwarding. this is all fairly easy for a cisco guy to do, but on the 826 I do not know if any of this is even possible. It should all be open I think, if not I do not know how to enable it. then just do the MS vpn from 1 client to another, from 1 LAN to the other. done. well not that easy, but follow the tips provided by countless other posters here on Tek-Tips and you will find the way to set up the rest of the VPN on each machine.
