I wnat to setup a VPN over the internet using the netgear cable modem router RT314 with a buddy of mine. I am using the firmware version 3.25. I know the router supports PPTP to a point, I'm just not sure how to use it exectly. Nietehr of us are using servers behind our routers so we cannot setup a client server VPN. If you could tell me how this can be done between the two routers, both are the same modle, I would be greatful.

I use an RT314 at home as well and will be setting up a VPN connection in the near future. Since this is a Cisco Router forum you may not be able to find your answers here. There is an excellent forum for Netgear RT314 at....

if you post the same question there one of the experts will be able to help you. Since I participate in that forum as well I'm sure I could use the information you find out concerning Netgear and VPN connections.
