VPN not seeing the network

I have a Win2k A/S as my vpn and I am using a Win2k Pro as the client and all port that I know of are open on my Linksys 4 port router. I connect fine and can see the domain but when I double click the domain it says:
"A list of servers for this workgroup is not available."
also netbeui gives me an error on logon saying it could not negociate a compatible ppp protocol. Can anyone help me?
