VPN MTU Setting?

I am wondering if anyone knows how to specify a MTU setting on just the VPN tunnel.

I have two offices that are connected by two Cisco ASA 5510 firewalls & due to some problem I have the need to reduce the MTU of just the VPN tunnel & not the whole interface.

The interface needs a MTU of 1500, but the VPN requires me to reduce this to value of 700.

It may complain that the tunnel does not support changing the datagram size, buit you should be able to adjust the max segment size, which is mtu minus 40 bytes (IP header).
