Hi I have set up a VPN L2TP Road Warrior tunnel at Work.

Our DNS servers are 192.168.0.9 and 0.11 on a subnet of 255.255.0.0

I have assigned the VPN client an ip address of 192.168.0.201

My problem is that when I go home and connect I can't ping anything.

I create the VPN connection at home and connect and it verifies username and password and connects successfully. I look at the ipconfig /all and I see:

192.168.0.201 (the ip that I assigned on the roadwarrior)
255.255.255.255
DNS: 192.168.0.9
192.168.0.11
DG: 192.168.0.201

I try and ping any of the DNS servers and it just says no reply cant connect..

I have really run out of ideas now... Anybody know what might be the problem?

There is no option in the roadwarrior setup that says allow ping or not.. I just thought it would allow as I had made a secure connection.

Do I need to open some port or something?
