Hi there,

I am having some problems with my VPN...

I have a PIX515E with a connection to a 501 in a remote office which has been working a treat. However, I tried yesterday to ping some devices on the remote network only to discover that the VPN appears to have "gone". I can still ping the outside interface and the remote users still have access out for internet browsing. The config on the 515E looks fine.

Can anyone suggest any (obvious) cause for the problem and things I can check to resolve this?

Thanks!

HI.

It could be that the latest pix configuration was not saved to flash, and once it was rebooted for any reason it lost the latest changes.

Check the configuration on both devices.

Check with the ISP if they did any change.

Check syslog messages on both devices.

Bye
