Attempting to install the VPN client I receive:

"Overlapped I/O operation is in progress" followed by a GetLastError popup
box. When OK is hit on the popup box the install is aborted.

Any ideas?

'Overlapped I/O operation is in progress' indicates a problem writing the configuration to disk at some point. Some backup software can cause the problem. If you have some kind of live backup running, might try to disable it.

What VPN client are you installing? Microsoft's or some third party VPN client? Are you using PPTP or IPSec?

The VPN is Nortel Contivity. The instructions from the network admin. is to disable IPSEC which I have done.

You might want to boot up in safe mode and try to install it, that's worked for me before.
